"A new contribution to improving cattle feed in the Gran Chaco region."

Grasslands constitute the primary forage source for cattle herds in the provinces of Formosa and Chaco. Accessing information and data that allow producers and professionals in the region to establish parameters and indicators regarding the description and productive behavior of these grasslands is crucial for improving livestock efficiency and preventing resource degradation in both provinces. Over several years, regional science and technology institutions have conducted research providing information about grasslands in both provinces. However, this information is often scattered across scientific publications or internal institutional reports that are difficult to access and contextualize for producers and professionals in the livestock sector. This work aimed to compile and synthesize the information and scientific data with the objective of presenting it in an organized and easily referenced format for the reader, whether a producer or livestock professional. It presents the physiognomic and landscape descriptions of grassland environments in both provinces, as well as information related to their production and zootechnical quality. Lastly, it addresses topics related to grassland management and conservation practices. This work is presented as a guiding reference to help understand and manage the dynamics of grasslands in the livestock sector."
