The event was organized by the Santandereana Society of Engineers and was developed in a hybrid format, with a physical space at the UIS Bucarica headquarters, with virtual spaces through Zoom and with the participation of international speakers from Germany and Spain.

In this new version of the International Engineering Open, different spaces were available to address current and innovative topics of science and engineering, these being:

  • Manufacture of new technologies for the development of sustainable energies.
  • Productivity in construction projects.
  • Mobility in urban, railway and maritime roads.
  • Occupational health and safety.

The interdisciplinary research team formed by Monica Botero, Rogelio Ospina and Julian Botero opened the event with a conference entitled NANOFERTILIZER MANUFACTURING AND ITS IMPACT ON ENERGY GENERATION, a topic aimed at a green, economical and viable production system, which addressed the theme of the event.

The audience congratulated the work done so far and actively participated in the question session wanting to know the application of these nanofertilizers in various crops and their commercial scaling. In addition, the participants expressed the importance of this type of research for the energy transition that the current government seeks to promote.
