Campaign to promote honey consumption in Argentina

Honey is a natural food produced by worker bees from the nectar of flowers that they themselves collect, transform and combine with their own substances. This high-quality natural product is consumed very little in Argentina.

World Bee Day is internationally commemorated on May 20. This day, declared by the United Nations, aims to raise awareness about the importance of pollinators, the threats they face and the benefit for the entire Earth. Related to this day, since 2016, the Honey Week campaign has been carried out under the motto "Add Honey to your Life". This activity was promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation to promote the consumption of honey, spread the benefits of this product, and promote the consumption of honey in Argentina. "This year, for the reason of the pandemic of CoVid 19 that caused preventive and compulsory social isolation, we will not be able to carry out the activities of Honey Week as we knew it ”, from REDLAC, INTA Argentina, INTA PROAPI and FONTAGRO promote and invite the direct and indirect actors of the sector to participate Beekeeping to participate with tools such as web pages, social networks, mass media.
