From September 26 to October 1, 2022, a workshop was held in Nicaragua. The goals were to show the main project's results, make visible the application of new irrigation technologies and visit the pilot areas of the project.

Between September 26 and October 1, 2022, a workshop of the SAR and ICT project was held in Nicaragua. The objectives were to share the main advances of the project, make visible the application of new technologies to support irrigation decision-making at the farm level and the irrigation modernization process, and visit the pilot areas of the project in Nicaragua.

There were meetings with the authorities of INTA and the Nicaraguan Ministry of Agriculture, an open seminar related to the issues addressed in the project, and visits to farmers' fields.

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the three pilot areas of the project were visited. The meetings were held at the Municipal Mayor's Office of Tisma (Masaya), at the Hugo Chávez Technological Development Center, located in San Isidro (Matagalpa) and at the Montaña de Salales School, El Sauce (León). After the presentations of the project, a discussion was established with the farmers, who shared their problems regarding irrigation and production systems and proposals for joint work were analysed. Then, some plots were visited, where local farm experiences and the irrigation technologies used were shared.

The mission was highly positive and the meetings allowed for a better understanding of the project, both for professionals and farmers.
