Biography

M.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences with an emphasis on Plant Breeding from the National University of Colombia. Agricultural Engineer from the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia.

Rice breeder for the tropical zone. It is responsible for the evaluation, selection and monitoring of germplasm in the FLAR member countries in the tropics. Coordinates the performance of the Technical Committee, as well as the germplasm evaluation and selection workshops. Coordinates the activities of the crossing area and the programming of crosses of the FLAR for the tropical zone. He directs the activities in the field and work areas related to the FLAR processes in Palmira; Likewise, it programs and coordinates FLAR activities at the Santa Rosa Experimental Center (FEDEARROZ) in Villavicencio, Colombia.
