Biography

Family Farming Specialist at the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA). Hernando Riveros Serrato is an International Specialist in Family Farming. He was the IICA Representative in Peru. He has a specialization in food technology and is a chemical engineer from the Universidad de América de Colombia. His most recent publications focus on the topic of added value in products of agricultural origin, conceptual and operational aspects, and a training manual, both prepared with other colleagues (IICA, 2014). His current areas of work are related to this issue, in addition to the management of technical cooperation in aspects of agriculture and rural life.
