Executive Summary

Global warming is generating various negative environmental, economic and social effects in the countries of the world, which will be accentuated in the coming years. Agriculture is one of the economic activities most affected by climate change and also one of the most important in Latin America. In this context, FONTAGRO financed years ago the Cooperative Project "Evaluation of changes in water productivity against different climatic scenarios in different regions of the Southern Cone" FTG-8042/08 ". This initiative aimed to disseminate the results of the aforementioned project to a greater number of direct beneficiaries (or users), which correspond specifically to farmers who carry out activities in each of the selected and studied hydrographic basins.

The technological solution

Dissemination of information regarding the response of different crops to water consumption and productive responses to scenarios of possible droughts.
