As a part of the project, technical teams from INTA Argentina and AGROSAVIA Colombia held a virtual meeting to coordinate participatory workshops with livestock producers from both countries.

The meeting, held on February 25, was attended by professionals from different Agricultural Experimental Stations (EEA) of INTA (Argentina) -Colonia Benítez, El Colorado, Corrientes, Reconquista and Bariloche-, together with representatives of AGROSAVIA, Tibaitatá (Colombia).
During the meeting, the working methodology to be applied in the next participatory workshops to be held in both countries was agreed upon. The aim of these workshops is to present and discuss, together with the producers, a set of Good Livestock Practices focused on Animal Welfare (GLP-AW) tools oriented to cattle breeding systems.
At this event, each country presented its proposals for GLP-AW, generating an enriching technical exchange to evaluate their applicability in different productive contexts.
The meeting concluded with a shared analysis, in which the possibility of implementing each proposal was evaluated according to the territorial conditions. In addition, it was agreed to keep the process open to incorporate new practices, based on the contributions arising directly from the cattle producers during the workshops.
This joint action reflects the commitment of the participating institutions to a collaborative, inclusive and territorially adapted approach that pursues the improvement of human and animal welfare, strengthens the capacities of cattle producers and contributes to sustainable livestock production in Latin America.
