Workshops on morphological characterization of native potatoes

Workshops and field days on morpho-agronomic characterization of native potato and Andean tuber varieties have been developed as part of the Root to Food project

Within the framework of the Root to Food project, workshops have been held with producers from Bolivia and Colombia to recognize and rescue native potato varieties and Andean tubers. In Colombia, 9 varieties of native potatoes were collected, including: Andean, chaucha, quincha, and 19 varieties of mashua. In Bolivia, 56 varieties of native potatoes, 3 of ulluco, 2 of goose and 2 of mashua were collected.
