2nd Internal Workshop on Climate Change and Dairy Farming

We shared our individual works to reach a consensus on Good Agricultural Practices with a potential impact on mitigation and adaptation for Climate Change. (Pasture and Reproduction)

On April 14th, the 2nd Internal Workshop on Climate Change and Dairy Farming was held to analyze the potential impact of good reproduction and pasture-based system practices on mitigation and adaptation for climate change.

Livia Negri leads the project -at the Agroindustry Research Center of INTA Argentina- and states, “The project seeks to develop capacities for sustainable production aimed at achieving Climate-Smart Dairy Establishments in 5 Latin American and Caribbean countries (LAC). Therefore, it is essential to take into account the characteristics of each region in order to share all the successful initiatives and challenges to achieve a sustainable change over time. Team work will be one of the main success factors if we want to generate a positive impact in our territories".

On May, the 3rd Virtual Internal Workshop is planned to analyze the potential impact of good practices in milk production on mitigation and adaptation forclimate change, as a continuation of the previous one.
