Biography

Researcher at the Universidad de Costa Rica. Most of my work deals with developing plant varieties. I am involved in one way or another with almost all the links in the development chain, from design to market. This makes me work with germplasm, pre-breeding, breeding, experimental and commercial trials, seed production, intellectual property issues and marketing. However, my interests reach beyond these aspects and I am passionate about other topics such as epigenetics, plant physiology, plant evolution, domestication and a lot more.
