I am PhD in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science from the Central University of Ecuador, a Master's degree in Animal Reproduction from the University of Cuenca, Ecuador, and a PhD candidate in Veterinary Health from the University of the Republic of Uruguay.
I have worked at INIAP-EEA for 17 years in research, innovation, and support for technology transfer. I am currently the National Coordinator of the INIAP Livestock and Pastures Program, responsible for the Livestock and Pastures Program at the EEA, and the FAO Focal Point for Animal Genetic Resources in Ecuador.
My work focuses on generating technological alternatives for the sustainable improvement and intensification of Ecuador's dairy, beef, and cattle production systems. Sustainability focuses on improving the environmental, socioeconomic, and productive components. I have also conducted research on the improvement of alternative production systems for guinea pigs and sheep.
