Biography

Undergraduate studies at the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo, awarded the degree of Agricultural Engineer. Postgraduate studies at the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar – Ecuador campus, with a specialization in Development Projects and Fundraising, and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Project Management for Development.
Completed formal courses in human, food, environmental, and agricultural microbiology as part of the Graduate Program in Microbiology at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito.

Experience in the development of research protocols and project proposals. Involvement as principal investigator and co-director of research projects and undergraduate theses. Researcher and technology transfer specialist, with experience in weed science, plant pathology, entomology, virology, biological control agents, soil microbiology (biofertilizers), soil physics, and crops under agroecological and organic management. Extensive experience in technology transfer, including validation, dissemination, training, participatory evaluation, and working with family farming systems, agroecology, and rural communities.
