Biography

Gabriel Augusto Angella is an Agricultural Engineer, graduated from the Faculty of Agronomy and Agroindustries, National University of Santiago del Estero, Argentina. He is a MSc from the University of Wageningen, The Netherlands (Soil and Water) and a Ph.D. in Agronomy from the University of Córdoba, Spain. He has been a researcher at INTA-EEA Santiago del Estero since 1994, developing his activities in the Natural Resources Group. His main research field is agricultural water management. He has coordinated National Irrigation Projects at INTA, between 2006 and 2010 and has participated in international research projects, within both PROCISUR and FONTAGRO. He is the INTA representative on the Coordinating Committee of the Memorandum of Understanding signed with Wagenigen University. He is Associate Professor of Agricultural Hydrology of the Agricultural Engineering Career, Faculty of Agronomy and Agroindustries, National University of Santiago del Estero and Director and Lecturer of the Master Program in Irrigation and Agricultural Water Management, integrated by seven Universities of northern Argentina. He is an evaluator of publications of the Argentine Center for Scientific and Technological Information, National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CAICYT-CONICET) and reviewer of Irrigation and Drainage, Official Journal of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID).
