The contest seeks to show family farming in the Latin American, Caribbean, and Spanish region, through an original lens. Opening date: February 18, 2016. Closing date: March 31, 2016.

(Washington, D.C., February 12, 2016) Today FONTAGRO launched its 2016 Photo Contest on the topic: “In a new light: Family Farming in Latin American, the Caribbean, and Spain.”

Prizes will be awarded for original photographs in different categories, namely:

  • People: small farmers and their families (including faces, half body or full body, etc.)
  • Places: photographs that show awe-inspiring agricultural landscapes in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Spain
  • Agriculture in Action: including cattle, crops, plantations, agricultural activities (such as planting, production, and harvesting), processing, marketing, markets, use of technology, etc.
